Comic Con 2019

It’s that time of year we all get excited for yes Liverpool Comic Con was BACK! I was lucky enough to be there at first Liverpool Comic Con Monopoly events put on last year, 2018 was such a great event with so many great cosplayers and a great guest panel in Paul McGann, Ian MacNeice, and Adam “Edge” Copeland, Gail Kim, Sophie Alfred and more including the late great Verne Troyer. This year’s event started very poignantly with a minute silence remembering the great Verne Troyer.

Going into this year’s event they was a lot of expectations as Monopoly Events knocked it out the park last year with not much planning time to put the event on so what could they do with months of planning at their disposal?? Well as turns out quite a lot! After a busy Friday with the national and regional press, Saturday took it to a whole new level even with awful weather, that couldn’t stop Liverpool coming out in huge numbers to the event even more so in Cosplays this year from The Joker & Harley Quinn’s To Captain Jack Sparrow, Thor , Jedi’s, Deadpool’s and a few Spidey’s about including our very own Big Live Drive host Dan joined in have a look for yourself…

Liverpool Comic Con had everything from a star studded guest panels including nearly every Power Ranger pretty much no lie! Then there was WCW/TNA/WWE Legend Sting, Eric Roberts from Doctor Who and Batman Dark Knight Movies, Dean Cain & Teri Hatcher Lois & Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman. Peter Facinelli from Twilight& Supergirl was there as well as legends Burt Young & John Challis.

There was also a robot wars game for the whole family to enjoy and of course the stalls, and they was at least double the amount from last year’s event they was a stall for everything from t-shirts from movies and TV Shows to jewellery, even BTS MERCH! And our favourite stall the CAKE OMG THEY WAS AMAZING! I speak on behalf of our team at KCC Live that went to the event when I say we had a brilliant time, was so well organised and really friendly, it’s definitely a weekend for the whole family also it’s a great way to meet new people and make new friends.
